A Neath dance group is jumping for joy after coming top in a cheer- leading contest.The Western Warriors dance group, which trains at Llangatwg Comprehensive, came first in the Western Classic 2008 Cheerleading Competition held last weekend in Newport. Head coach Kerry Dale said the youngsters had trained hard for the event and spent time fund- raising for new costumes. This included a day of bag-packing at Morrisons in Neath, which raised £235 towards the cause. Ms Dale said: "We would like to say a big thank-you to the store and all the shoppers who gave generously." |
