2009Third year at the Swansea dance festival and our girls did it again. Congratulations to both Acrobatic groups. The Chinese group for second place and Space for first and over all highest mark in all Acro group sections. Well done to all these:
Western classic cheerleading competition in Newport held on March 1st by the British cheerleading association was a great day and enjoyed by all. Special congratulations to our western warrior’s pee-wee squad who became small dance champions and our soloist Sophie Hughes cheered and tumbled her way to 2nd place. Good luck or Midlands comp in Telford on April the 12th. Do you want to be a part of this squad? Squad try-outs to be held on Saturday 25th April (3-4pm) at Neath YMCA for boys and girls aged 7-25. 2008Well done to our Western warriors of Dance Wales UK for being selected and to open the show to at the Swansea Grand Theatre as part of the charity show ‘The Best is yet to come’, a very professional performance. Second year running for the Swansea Dance Festival held at Penyrhed Leisure Centre. Fantastic year. Congratulations to the Acrobatic groups (The Circus Clowns and Mission Impossible) for gaining first place and for Mission Impossible who won the over all highest mark in any acrobatic group with 87 points. Congratulations to all the soloists - Abigail Phillips, Gemma Daniels and Jessica Hughes for all achieving first place and a special well done for Jessica Hughes who gained a Trophy for the highest Acro solo with a mark of 84 points. Also well done for third place to Bethan Williams and Bonnie Kovacs for their Acro duet. Also, Jessica Hughes and Lauren Wood for winning and gaining a trophy for the highest Acro duet with a mark of 85 points. Congratulations to the two dance groups and a third place for the under 12s. All children enjoyed the experience and can't wait to do it all again next year. Well done Western Warriors, who entered their first competition at the Western Classic Cheerleading Competition in Newport on February 24th and came home with the Champions Trophy for the new squad dance section. Fantastic! And for also performing at the Liberty Stadium on Monday (March 25th) cheering for the Swansea City Football Club - what an atmosphere and experience! Festival4stars auditioned a Hugh talent contest held at the princess royal theatre in port Talbot. A big well done to our Acrobatic group ‘Mission impossible’ for winning overall ‘That’s Entertainment’ section for the region and then went on to the finals in Scarborough representing Wales. Our annul show at the princess royal theatre Port Talbot July 26th ‘For one night only’ was another success. What a professional ray of talent. Well done to all our achievers at our awards ceremony held at the princess royal theatre Port Talbot in December and an enjoyable after party. Photos of all can be found in the awards gallery section. 2007Our Western Warrior Cheerleaders took a trip to spectate the annual Western classics cheerleading competition this February and are now busy training to enter the prestigious competition next year. ’YOU CAN DO IT WARRIORS!’ Swansea City festival was held at Penyrheol Leisure Centre this February and Dance Wales UK Dancers and Acrobats took part. Well done to everyone who participated and a special congratulation’s to Lucy Thomas and Jessica Hughes for achieving third in their Duet and Jessica for gaining a first place for her solo. Very Well done. A good night, enjoyed by all at the Cimla Court Hotel. 2006Our dancers were selected to perform on the Grand Theatre stage for the charity show ‘The best is yet to come’. Well done to all achievers in most improved and best attendance for Dance Wales UK. A good night had by all at the Windsor club Neath. Dance Wales UK Performed its first ever show on December the 16th 2006 at Britton Ferry community centre where they performed two sell out shows.
