About Dance Wales

Dance Wales Uk is one of the best and most popular schools in Swansea, Neath and the whole of South Wales. With its award and competition winning background Dance Wales UK is second to none. We have won several British Cheerleading Association competitions, IDO hip hop championships and many local dance festivals.

In the past we have won South Wales IDO hip hop championships and have attended the world championships in several countries such as Poland and Germany. Our acrobatics group Reflex have won festival for stars local regions and have attended both UK finals. We have also entered other competitions such as Britain’s Got Talent and Got To Dance Our Cheerleading squad Western Warriors have won many awards in a range of ages.

Our Principle Kerry Dale started Dancing and Acrobatics at the age of five, training in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz at the Grand Theatre Swansea. As a child she performed in several Pantomimes and shows. At the age of Thirteen Kerry won a trip to America she was chosen one of six out of hundreds of hopefuls to go to Rutgers University to learn the basics of Cheerleading and is now a qualified cheerleading coach under the British Cheerleading Association. She also toured Europe as part of an Acrobatic troupe called Acro – Wales competing in Europe – wide competitions, and appeared on T.V on Motor Mouth, Heno, Going Live, But First This, Tribe and Auditioned and Performed for Paul Daniels Magic Show.

Kerry Attended Gorseinon College to gain her B – Tec in Performing Arts then onto Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds and gained her BA , Dance Degree. Living in Leeds she was part of a Dance group in the Tunnel, Appeared in a pop video for Point Break and became head Dancer and Choreographer for Sorted and Love Train at the Town and Country Club, then for Luv Bug and Planet Pop in Middlesbrough and toured Luv Bug around the UK and Switzerland.

In 2002 Kerry landed a place in a touring Musical Company called Timeless Theatre Productions based in Newcastle with productions called Those were the days and Memory Lane, and in May 2003 she performed Acrobatics at the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester with Swamp Circus Theatre for the European Cup Final. In 2004 she returned back to settle down in Neath, After all her experiences in her career she remembered how much fun she had performing as a child and how much she loved it and made her dreams reality. Now fully enhanced DBS checked, she wants to let other children have the opportunities to achieve and experience the things she did, and as a dedicated member of Acro – Wales she named her school Dance Wales UK.

Bethany Richards

Beth started dancing at the age of 3 and discovered her love for performing straight away. Over the years she has received training from teachers and choreographers from all over the UK.

Beth is a qualified ISTD dance teacher in Ballet, Tap, Modern and National. She has also completed Advanced 1 Ballet and Tap and Advanced 2 Modern and National. Beth trained at Judith Hockaday College of Dance and Drama and continues to further to qualifications there.  She also holds an Acrobatic Arts Module 1 qualification.

Beth has taken part in many competitions over the years including The Dance World Cup and the All England Dance Finals in London as well as many festivals and ISTD competitions. For many years she was also part of the Cecchetti Wales and West ballet associate program and received regular classes from Independent Ballet Wales.

Beth has performed in QDOS pantomimes at the Wyvern Theatre Swindon from 2011-2015. This allowed her to work with choreographers such as Joanna Goodwin and Andrew Wright (who choreographed Singin’ in the Rain currently on the West End) and also perform with celebrities such as Nigel Havers and Keith Chegwin. Beth also appeared on ‘CBBC does Glee Club’ in 2011.

Beth is very excited to join the Dance Wales UK team and teach everyone!

Janet is our voluntary administrator and most importantly Kerry’s mum. Janet is enhanced DBS checked. She supported toured with Kerry all over Europe, and is still supporting Kerry now with Dance Wales UK.

We are forever thankful and couldn’t be without her.

Hazel Davies
Cheerleading Coach

Hazel is a fully qualified cheerleading coach for Western Warriors. Hazel is a valuable member for the team, arranging competitions, hotels and transport for all Western Warrior’s do.

Hazel is enhanced DBS checked and fully qualified.

Hannah Davies
Cheerleading Coach

Hannah is a fully qualified cheerleading coach for Western Warriors. Hannah has been a part of the Western Warriors team since it first began and has competed many times in all sections such as dance and stunting. Hannah now coaches for Western Warriors. Hannah is enhanced DBS checked and fully qualified.
